macOS Shortcuts App integration
Austin Elliott
I would like to be able to use the native macOS (and iOS) Shortcuts app to control & automate more workflows in Daylite. These 'Shortcuts' are the future of any action or workflow historically run by the native Mac Automator app. There is an incredible amount of things that could be done and workflow automated if Daylite & iOSXpert integrates some functionality with the macOS Shortcuts App.

Alf Ruppert & Richard There are many workflows or automations that could be achieved by integration with Apple's Shortcuts App. Also, this method could bring some of the basic iOSxpert plugin features currently limited to the desktop app to the iPhone/iPad app.
I have developed a few homemade 'workarounds' that are promising by using the 'run script' or terminal actions in macOS Shortcuts App running wrapped f-script or an API call. I've seen this done similarly in some of iOSxpert's Daylite Automations found in the Productivity plugin and in Marketcircle's Developer/API guide.
I suppose the Daylite-Zapier integration works the same way, and ultimately, it is all some version of a GET/POST/PATCH call using the Daylite API. The versatility of what can be achieved (theoretically) with the Shortcuts App leveraging the power of the existing iOSxpert plugins suite warrants a closer look.
I've been able to get a few things working as proof of concept, but now I find myself at the limits of my skill and knowledge in this area. It feels like having an excellent idea for a book but not being able to read or write more than a few words due to illiteracy.
I realize that full integration is likely something Marketcircle would need to develop/implement, but I've asked them for this since 2021 with no reply. Hell, I'd settle for a simple 'No' at this point versus silence. Thanks!
